His ultimate vision is to transform Bangladesh into an economically self-reliant and strong nation. Dr. Manjida added, “Tarique Rahman rejects the politics of vengeance and envisions a just and egalitarian society based on freedom of expression and democratic values.” His 31-point reform plan presents a comprehensive framework for building a new, modern, and democratic Bangladesh. Quoting from Tarique Rahman’s recent interview with the Financial Times (UK), Dr. Manjida noted that “Tarique Rahman’s goal is to turn Bangladesh into a global e-commerce hub like Amazon or eBay.” Dr. Shahidul Alam highlighted that Tarique Rahman’s political outlook places special emphasis on public participation and accountability, which are essential for the future advancement of democracy in Bangladesh. Sir Peter Heap stated that achieving positive transformation in Bangladesh’s political sphere requires a balanced foreign policy and sound diplomatic judgment, both of which are evident in Tarique Rahman’s political approach. Addressing questions from Oxford students about BNP’s reform agenda and Tarique Rahman’s policies, Zahir Uddin Swapan said, “Tarique Rahman’s 31-point reform proposal offers a new direction for Bangladesh’s political and economic landscape.” The event concluded with a joint moderation by Ahmed Muhtadi and Saimur Mujib Rahman, both students of the University of Oxford and leaders of the Oxford Bangla Society.
